FILEMAKER: Insert File Script Step

This script step works hand in hand with container fields for the quick ability to link a FileMaker record to just about any kind of computer file. As is the nature with container fields, you can store the file itself or a link to where the file resides. Each method has its advantages and disadvantages and your particular needs should govern which direction you choose.

There are 3 options for this script steps which include...

Where is the field you want to insert into
When is the file you want inserted
Do you want the entire file or a reference to its location

By the way, you can insert a file into a container field via contextual menus. That means a quick right click on a container field will show you the insert file option.
